I have completed my post graduation in social work (MSW) from M.G. Kashi Vidyapeeth , Varanasi (A silver medallist)
Graduated in science (B.Sc) with honours in Chemistry from Ranchi University.
Presented paper on MTH (MSM , Transgender and Hijra) Community in 7th Asia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health (APCRSHR) ,2014, in Manila, Phillipines.
Attended one month training on “Advocacy for Reproductive Health and HIV /AIDS “from KASETASART UNIVERSITY, Bangkok, THAILAND as a part of Leadership development Mechanism (LDM) fellowship by Packard Foundation.
Attended 4th APCRSHR (Asia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health and Rights), in Hyderabad as representative of LDM fellow supported by PACKARD Foundation.
Attended 15 Day’s International Courses on reproductive health and HIV /AIDS at NIPCCD, New Delhi.
In association with N.G.O. ‘GUDIA’ working with the Commercial Sex Workers, in the red light areas of ‘Sivdashpur’ and ‘Maduadih’ of Varanasi ,prepared a dissertation ‘ The Psychosocial – Problems of Prostitutes’.
As a development professional have more than 15 years of experience working in Kolhan region of Jharkhand.
Being born and brought up in East Singhbhum district ,I am deeply exposed to the cultural and behavioural aspects of the people residing in this district and also the geographical areas .
While working with different organisations like FPAIndia, care-India , UNICEF and AID got the opportunity to work on various issues effecting the mankind , with different stakeholders like government departments (Health, ICDS, Education, PHED and labour department), NGOs ,community based organisations, PRIs (panchayati raj institutions) to make the services reach to the left out and marginalised community.
Successfully Implemented projects based on Malnutrition, Blindness control, Adolescent Health, Mother and Child Health, HIV & AIDS and MTH (MSM ,Transgender and Hijra ) community.
Through advocacy and sensitization of government and other stake holders worked for inclusion and Gender equality .
My rich experience in development sector combined with my academic achievements has helped me become a well-rounded professional capable to address and solve problems for individuals and organisations and contribute to their progress.
